A Message from Regatta Chair Dave Simpson:

In total, there were 32 boats registered for the United Way Charity Regatta in 2011 and the 104 skippers and crew brought in pledge sheets containing donations from $5 to $500. There were 160 individual pledges, which average out to over 5.5 pledges per boat.
Start early, leave the pledges sheets on display, ask your crew to help out. Thank you to all the skippers/crews and donors for their efforts last year. In total the boats pledged a record amount of $22,793.00, which was matched by corporate co-sponsors, and the RBC Investment Foundation.
A total of over $30,000.00 was raised from all sponsors and shared among the United Way agencies in the Okanagan Valley.
